Empathizing Historical Trauma - Our training equips professionals with a deep understanding of historical trauma and its lasting effects. Participants will explore how power dynamics shape their interactions and learn how their roles fit within larger systemic structures. This training fosters awareness, accountability, and strategies for more equitable and trauma-informed practices.
Entrepreneurship and Digital Success - We provide aftercare support for Black entrepreneurs transitioning out of the child welfare system, helping them establish independence and stability in adulthood. Our programs offer guidance on digital success strategies, business development, and digital safety, equipping individuals with the skills to navigate the digital landscape securely, implement effective strategies, and access the technology and resources needed to build and sustain successful businesses.
From Application to Offer: Job Readiness Essentials - This interactive workshop prepares participants to confidently pursue employment opportunities from start to finish. Attendees will learn how to create compelling resumes, write persuasive cover letters, and present themselves effectively in interviews. The session includes practical tips, guided exercises, and mock interviews to build skills, boost confidence, and help participants make a strong first impression with potential employers.

Child Welfare 101 - Culturally grounded video series that speaks directly to Black families in Iowa and Nebraska who are impacted by systems of child welfare, law enforcement, domestic violence, and racialized trauma. The video series will deliver short, easy-to-understand, and culturally relevant content that equips families with the knowledge and tools they need to stay safe, advocate for their children, and begin healing. At its core, this series is about reclaiming power through education, cultural pride, and community connections.
Rooted In Strength: Empowering Black Youth in the Juvenile Justice System - This training equips Black youth impacted by the juvenile justice system with the knowledge, skills, and confidence to thrive beyond it. Through culturally grounded, trauma-informed sessions, participants will explore systemic challenges, learn their rights, strengthen self-advocacy and leadership skills, and make informed, healthy decisions. Youth will also understand how digital behavior impacts their safety, reputation, and legal standing, recognize signs of online harm, and learn laws and consequences related to sexting, video sharing, and deepfakes. The program fosters resilience, cultural pride, digital responsibility, and positive connections while promoting pro-social pathways for long-term success.
